How Can We HELP YOU?

Guiding Documents

Our congregation’s activities are guided by an official constitution, and bylaws describing the purpose and work of committees and groups of Grace’s. Other statement and documents provide further explanation of our congregation’s purpose and operations.

>> Mission and Vision Statements

Grace has a Safe Haven child protection policy in place with training for leaders and guidelines that are designed to keep children and youth participating in our ministry from harm.

Church Council and Committees

Our congregation is led spiritually by our pastor and administratively by a council of elected lay leaders. A number of committees support the ministry of all members in a variety of areas through planning, training, organization and support.

>> Church Council

The Congregational church council usually meets on the fourth Tuesday at 7:00pm.

Celebrating Life Events

As people of faith we trust in God’s presence in all aspects of our lives. God is with us all the time. And yet there are times when we seek to mark special events in life with the joyful hope of our faith. God joins us in all our celebrations. To plan baptisms, weddings and funerals, as well as first communion, confirmation, or joining the church a conversation with the pastor will provide spiritual care, offer information about common practices and possible options, and hopefully help you celebrate God’s amazing grace.

The assurance of God’s live, adoption, forgiveness of sins, call to new life, and hope of everlasting salvation is celebrated as a sacramental rite within the worship of the congregation. Contact the pastor anytime before or after the birth of a child, for older children, or for adults who have not been baptized and wish to explore the Christian faith and join the family of God.

Marriage is a life-long commitment between two people who promise their love and faithfulness to each other and ask for God’s help and guidance in their relationship during a wedding ceremony. Contact the pastor after your engagement and before making arrangements with other professionals to clear availability for your intended wedding date.

The church celebrates the end of a person’s life on earth and their continued life in God’s eternal paradise with a funeral or a later memorial service during which the promises of baptism are re-affirmed and our brother or sister in Christ is entrusted to God’s never-ending care.

If the pastor has not been made aware of impending death and asked to offer spiritual support, closure and commendation, contact should be made as soon as possible so that pastoral care can be provided and plans can be coordinated between relatives, church and funeral home.
